Ashton Lane

Ashton lane is a short street in Glasgow’s West-End , cherished for its bars and restaurants . That’s the welcoming lights of the much loved Jinty M’Ginty’s at the end . I seem to be going through a phase of painting pubs at the moment ……. just when I can’t visit any !

Battlefield Rest

Battlefield Rest on Glasgow’s Southside started its life as a tram terminus before becoming a much loved Italian restaurant . It’s a beautiful and unusual shaped building that I’ve painted a number of times . This painting is acrylic on board ,  34×22 cm in size .

On the Edge

Another of my striped body series , painted during corona virus lockdown . The model is the long-suffering Jordan , perched on the edge of a stripe-covered sofa , so the title is both literal and a wee bit of a metaphor . Acrylic on board 90×76cm
